A curated display of Universal Genève collections from passionate enthusiasts worldwide
I started collecting Universal Genève watches a decade ago with a simple Polerouter Date. What drew me in was the history — the brand that pioneered the microrotor movement, supplied chronographs to armed forces, and created some of the most beautiful dress watches of the mid-20th century. Today my collection spans from a 1940s Aero-Compax to a 1970s Space-Compax, with several Polerouter variants in between. Each piece tells a story of Swiss watchmaking at its finest.
The Polerouter was designed by Gerald Genta in 1954 for Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) pilots flying polar routes. Its clean, modernist design was revolutionary for its time. This showcase features my three Polerouter variants — the original, the Date, and the rare Sub.
Universal Genève produced some of the finest chronographs of the 20th century. From the pre-war Compax to the legendary Tri-Compax, these watches represent the pinnacle of hand-wound chronograph watchmaking. Featured here are my Compax, Aero-Compax, and the crown jewel — a 1955 Tri-Compax in 14K gold.
